Author’s Note: Movement in the stars

Hello everyone!

Apologies for the radio silence. I am still here! And still working away on writing and writing-related things.

The hiatus has not exactly gone to plan (except for taking a break from Starwalker). Various life stuff has cropped up, mostly getting in the way of the things I mean to do during the break, and I haven’t got half as much as I’d hoped done.

I am still dedicated to getting back to Starwalker, though. Book 5 will resume! I have not forgotten about Starry and her crew, and their adventures yet untold.

My current plan is to write the first half of Book 5 as my NaNoWriMo project this year. Planning for it has already happened and I’m currently reading the last section of Book 4 to get myself primed and ready to dive back in.

As for when Book 5 will start posting: that’s a bit unclear at this point. A lot depends on what shakes out over the next six weeks. I have a soft target of before the end of the year and hope to give you all a present of the first Book 5 post for Christmas, but please understand that it’s a soft promise for now.

The firm promise is that Starry will be back. I’m working on it. It’s turning out tougher than I’d hoped, but I’m getting there and will get on top of it all.

I’ve missed you guys. You’ll be hearing from me again soon!

Stay well.

Be well yourself! Otherwise you’ll make Starry cry.

    I mean, I guess. Somehow. It’d be a little meta…

Thanks! You guys are the best. <3

I've caught up on my reading and have planned out the next section of the story. Ideas percolate. Can't wait to get writing!

I’m checking back pretty infrequently myself, but I haven’t forgotten you exist. I hope work settles into that quiet productive state where you can get heaps done, then look back on the day, satisfied that you can leave work at work. ^_^

    Sounds good Melanie!
    Good luck with NaNoWriMo!

Happy to hear things are going well, if busy, and that Starry will wander back out of the void and into our lives once again 🙂 Will keep an eye out for her.
