Author’s Note: an apology and a request
Due to the death-cold that has been plaguing me for the past week, I’m sorry to say that this week’s Starwalker post is going to be delayed. I’ve been off work all week so far, and tomorrow is looking shaky too. I’m on the mend, but slowly, and it is not terribly conducive to being creative.
But don’t fear, my lovely readers. I have put this weekend aside for writing, and aim to catch up on the lack. If all goes well (and I can shake this stupid cough), I may even get ahead of myself a little! Please accept my apologies for delaying the post again, and I thank you in advance for your patience.
This brings me to the request part of this post. I’ve been enjoying the flashback shorts, exploring the characters on our favourite ship. It’s time to start the next one, but I’ve been torn about which character to write it about and I need your help. So tell me, who would you like to see a flashback about next?

– Danika!!! (maybe as Starry’s flashback)

– Dr. “Socks” Argyle Valdimir (to learn more of him)
– Riley Swann (dito)
– Kess
– Kess’s (or is that Kess’?) aides Sasha and Warren
– Gail Cameron
– Dr. Seth Ebling (to learn what makes him tick…)

I’d like to hear the backstory of one of the newer characters. Either Kess, Vladimir, or Swann. Of the older characters, Lang Lang is my top pick.
I don’t think there should be a repeat flashback, since the purpose of these is to give a deeper insight to the character.

Thanks for the well-wishes! Much appreciated. I am feeling much better and should get back into the regular swing of things tomorrow.
mjkj – yes, hopefully spring will help! A bright new season to cheer us all up.
I’ve had another vote for Danika, too. Hmm. Looks like Danika, Elliott, and the captain are at the top of the list. I think I can do something with that. 😀
mjkj – technically, it’s Kess’s (it’s a name, not a plural, and only rare names ending in ‘s’ don’t have an ‘s’ after an apostrophe in posessive statements). And, hmm, I hadn’t thought about Sasha and Warren. That gives me an idea or two, actually.
I’m pondering a spinoff about Kess and the star avatar thing, so I won’t do too much about her at this point. She’s a huge story in herself. 😉
As for Tyler and what happened to him… you’ll find that out in due course. Gone but not forgotten. 🙂

As for chracters, I am very curious about Tyler too. Since he is being saved for later… i vote on the liutenant Scarface.

Okay, so here’s a rough order for the upcoming shorts:

– Lieutenant Laurence the Pirate
– Dr ‘Socks’ Valdimir.
These take a while longer to do than a regular weekly post, but I’ll chip away at them when I have time. 🙂
